How does one identify if a pumpkin flower is a male or a female?

How does one identify if a pumpkin flower is a male or a female?

This is a skill one needs when you are indoors and too lazy to step out and check the flowers.
The boy flower is always pointing up and a girl flower is always facing down and is very closer to the ground.
